Sexual violence remains one of the most silenced crises in Cameroon. Many women and girls experience abuse without knowing their rights, the laws that protect them, or where to seek help. Survivors are often left alone to navigate trauma, stigma, and complex legal systems—without guidance, protection, or case management. This lack of awareness and support allows violence to continue unchecked.

At Solange Rising Star (SRS), our vision is clear: to end sexual violence by building informed, empowered, and united communities where survivors are supported, perpetrators are held accountable, and silence is replaced with collective action. We provide survivor-centered support including psychosocial care, rape case management, referrals, and legal awareness—ensuring survivors are not only heard, but protected and accompanied through their healing and justice journeys.

We also believe that empowerment must be holistic. A community that protects its people must also protect its environment. Many children grow up without understanding the difference between biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, seeing plastic pollution as normal. Through our school and community outreach, we integrate environmental education—teaching waste segregation, recycling, and biodiversity protection—as part of building responsible, caring, and sustainable communities.
